KETTERING YACHT CLUB STRATEGIC PLAN (Updated 2023)

The Kettering Yacht Club (KYC) is based in southern Tasmania and promotes sailing on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. It is a small but active club affiliated with Sailing Australia. It originally operated as the Channel Sailing Club and was incorporated as the KYC in 1993. It acquired and has operated a committee boat since 2009 and new club rooms in 2013. Today, it has a stable membership of about 170. The future of the club is promising with an ever increasing number of people and boats in the vicinity.

Vision

  • the contribution that participating in sailing can make to our community
  • high standards of financial accountability, administrative correctness and proper governance
